Robert Jordan and the Chronicles of Conan

So, its been a little while since I have blogged. I am posting this in hopes that someone out there is still reading it. I picked this book up at a local Books-a-Million. This series is the originating stories that made Robert Jordan famous, and led to his future series, The Wheel of Time. Speaking of the Wheel of Time, I plan on soon starting a re-read in preparation for the release of the final book. That, and I need to re-read some certain parts for clarity. So far I am 46.27% of the way through the entire book, which is around halfway though the second book inside the collection. This book is a definite recommend from me to anyone who loves Lord of The Rings style books. I will hopefully remember to blog later on the conclusion of the series and my thoughts. From now on I am considering changing the direction of my blog to something more centralized and themed. Soon, I will post a vote so that anyone who visits may help recommend directions for the blog. Possible directions include but are not limited to: rating books, rating PC games, rating MMOs, rating movies, or rating music. I will, when the blog takes this new direction, accept suggestions on certain articles to review. Please bear with me as I plan out the transfer of my site. This of course is completely dependent on whether anyone even reads this anyways. We will see soon. Oh and tell you what, for voting, please just comment on this post with your choice of new direction for my blog.

New Blog Direction Options (Please comment with votes):

* Reading and Rating Books
* Playing and Rating PC games
* Playing and Rating MMOs
* Watching and Rating Movies
* Listening to and Rating Music

Thank you for anyone who reads this or comes across this blog.

One Year Later...

Ok, so it has been a year since I have blogged and I apologize, not that anyone reads this crap anyways. I am taking DiffEq, Java II, German Culture, Circuits, and Intro to Electrical and Computer Engineering. This semester will probably keep me busy. I need to start work on my website again. (http://www.mattaul.com). There is a really cute girl who sits in front of me in DiffEq. Her name is Amy. I recently bought Guitar Hero III for the Wii so I didnt have to play my brother's one for the PS3. I'm really good through Medium, but I am having trouble on Hard. Well.... I'm bored, so I'm out.

Another Day of Caches

Yesterday, on the way to TTU. I picked up a few more caches along the way. I looked for a few more, but most were covered in muggles at the moment. Hopefully I will get more this weekend.

Journey into the Heart of Mordor

What a day, What a day!!!
When me, skerbilman, and christopherlowe decided to attend the Zen Bassmasters "Journey into the Heart of Mordor" event, we did not expect what came next. There were a bunch of people there, a majority of them had thousands of caches under their belts. Christopherlowe and I picked up the introduction cache and waited for the event to start. I dropped of Geoffrey the Ultimate Geocacher into the event box. We started splitting up into groups. My group was full of Hobbit-haters, including myself. The Lord of the Rings theme really stuck lol. We hit up a multicache first and one of our members almost got himself stuck in a little building, because he approached the cache from the inside instead of just sticking his hand into the window. We continued up and grabbed the last part of the cache up by an old well, that was really tall. The well was just big enough to stuff enough hobbits into to satisfy ones needs. We continued down and picked up a hard-to-find multicache. Next, we picked up some easy finds. Then we continued down and pushed a few of our members up a hill in search of a hard cache. After, that we went to visit the Nazghoul, I attempted this one, but got stuck in all the mud. When I got down, I found an awesome walking stick just laying on the ground. We next visited a semihard multicache and grabbed a couple steps. We headed back to the beginning and picked up the last step of the multi. When we opened the cache we were surprised to find "The One Ring" located inside. I snatched it up and immediately slipped it on to escape from Mordor with ease. It was a great day of caching, and I hope to take some people out to find them later. Maybe I can get Kevin out there. lol

Tech Bowl

We went to the State Conference these past four days. Enjoyed the break from school and the vacation time. Coffee County placed in three of the four events that it entered. In the Tech Bowl in which I participated, we recieved third place. We were happy with our third place though...because the only two teams that beat us have been doing this since eighth grade together and are previous National Champions.
